Abstract
A special class of partitioned linearly-implicit Runge-Kutta methods for the solution of mechanical multibody systems in index-3 formulation is considered. A method of order 4 with 8 stages is constructed by the use of simplifying assumptions. Numerical comparison with other codes is given. The numerical results show the efficiency and reliability of the new code for index-3 systems.
