Effect of Signs in Creating of Meaning

In today’s society many people paid attention and tried to maintain identity and meaning in cultural places and attention to symbols. One of these complications has been less attention to symbols and signs in historical – cultural places and consequently fading the meaning of these places. Hafeziyeh is among the buildings in addition to being a historic place, it is part of national identity and cultural value of a nation and community and it is useful on collective identity. Consequently the present article is aimed to examine the symbols and signs in everyplace of this building and its effects on emotions and attitude of people based on direct and indirect observations through questionnaire and explained concepts such as sign, sign language, meaning, sense of place and memory. And finally sign is a language for existing meaning in place and understandable for people who paid attention to it and valued its effects in their feeling and attitude.
