Abstract
This paper presents thoughts about a different form of air quality management that focuses on long-term personal
exposure of individuals and goes beyond the traditional system of air quality standards. The exposure-based approach
is a customer-oriented methodology with the aim of individually lowering the personal intake of chronically acting air
pollutants and hence improve human health conditions more directly.
