Abstract
A dense organic film was prepared by plasma polymerization of pyrrole. 100 keV Ar+ irradiation at a fluence of 5 × 1015 ions/cm2 was used to produce a conducting surface layer due to damage. The charge carriers transport in this layer was investigated in the temperature range 194–300 K. The characteristics of the irradiated layer have been explored in detail using ion beam analysis techniques, FT-IR, XPS and near-IR to UV spectroscopy.
