A Glance at the Iranian History Education in the Field of Political Science

Historical nature of political phenomena and processes indicates the importance of political history in political science. But current method of political history teaching has some short comings, because it cannot improve our understanding of the political. At most, it gives a chronological view of political history that is memory oriented. Assuming helpfulness of political history teaching in political science, one has to revise this method. In this article, the author tries to provide a reliable model for constructing and teaching political history, and, according this model, criticizes current method of political history in political science. Finally it identifies some factors that impede to revise this method
