Urinary Tract Infection is a common human disease in both sexes and all stages of age These infections are caused by microscopic beingsspecially-Bacteria- This study is to isolate and characterize the .urru, of -Bacterial urinary Tract Infections 934 urine specimen was studied taken from out patients of Saddam Educational llospital in Al-Najaf suffering from symptoms of he urinary tract iniection (Fevet, pin in lower part of the belly burning feeling when ,rinating) in a period of four months in .ooprition wiln the medical staff of the hospital lab. samples were tested in a direct method and also in lab growth in an appropriate media. (304) cases (32.5%) of the total samples tested gave positive reaction to bacterial growth while (630) case 67 5o/o gave negative results. The study showed the rate in females was 55.97o rvhile 14 lo/o in males. Also the percentage rates of bacteria causes most common were indicated. results showed that E.Coli is most common 40.1o/o then Klebsiella 16.77o, Proteus sp 13 47o, Staphylococcus aureus 11.5f,/0 and Enterobacter sp 11.1% and the least common bacteria is Pseudomonas aeroginosa which was 6.4oh The study included sensitivity test on the causes of isolated bacteria to choose the appropriate antibiotics. The results showed that Gentamycin is the most appropriate antibiotics then chloroamphenicole in comparison with pencillin which the bacteria showed a high resistance to it
