Binary Stopping theory for swift heavy ions in solid materials

Binary Stopping theory has been studied to characterize the electronic stopping of swift heavy ions in solid matter. It is an extension of Bohr’s classical theory incorporating screening and stripped ions, higher-order Z1 (Barkas effect) and Shell correction. Good agreement with the output of SRIM program.
