In this work p-nitrosothymol (1) was preparated by propynylation of (1) with propargyl bromide to give 3-(pnitrosothymoxy)- 1-propyne (2); followed by reaction with formaldehyde and secondary amines afforded Mannich bases (3-7). The chemical structure of all prepared compounds was confirmed on the basis of their elemental analysis and some spectral data (IR, UV spectroscopy).
