LOCUS OF CONTROL AMONG SECONDARY SCHOOLS’ COUNSELORS

In a study of locus of control among secondary schools’ full-time counselors in Pulau Pinang-Malaysia, a population of eleven males and twenty one females school’s counselors completed the Levenson’s Multidimensional Internal, Powerful others, and Chance locus of control scales (I, P, and C). The purpose of this study was to find out the type of locus of control that the participants hold. Analysis revealed very high internal locus of control, while there was no significant differencesaccording to both gender and years of experience.
