Gamma Irradiation Effects on the Optical Properties of CdO:Sb thin Films

Thin films of CdO:Sb were investigated for the effects of -radiation. Samples were fabricated using spray pyrolysis technique. thin films of CdO:Sb were exposed to a 60Co -radiation source at room temperature. Absorption and transmission spectra were recorded and the values of the optical band gap for the as deposited and -irradiated samples were calculated, it was found that the optical energy gap decreases after irradiation, the transmission and absorptance and the absorption coefficient were calculated also, before and after irradiation, it was found that - irradiation affected all the parameters under investigation.
