Comparative study on the effect of antibiotics and non antibiotics therapy (phytotherapy) on E.coli Klebsiella isolated from urinary tract infection

This study compares the antibiotics and non antibiotics therapy (phytotherapy) activity on E.coli Klebsiella isolated from urinary tract infection by using in vitro tests. A total of ten clinical isolates were tested, including the species of E.coli Klebsiella.Cranberry juice(representive for phytotherapy) showed inhibitory activity against all isolates and the effect were wider than effect of some antibiotics were used, while in antibiotics therapy all isolates were resistant to Ampicillin,Amoxcillin+Clavunic acid,Tetracyclin and susceptible to Ciproflaxacin,Norfloxacin,Naladixic acid.This finding suggest that cranberry juice may be an effective alternative to some antibiotics in the treatment of urinary tract infection
