In this work 3,4-dimethyl-1-phenyl-3a,7a-dihydropyrano-[2,3-c]-pyrazol- 6-(1H)-one (2) was prepared from 5-methyl-2-phenyl-2,4-dihydro-3H-pyrazol- 3-one (1) then reacted with the appropriate diazonium salts of primary aromatic amines and 2-amino-5-thio-1,3,4-thiadiazole to afford the corresponding azo pyrano-[2,3-c]-pyrazol-6-(1H)-one derivatives (3-13). Compounds (2-13) were identified by some spectral data (IR and UV).
