The effect of 226 88 Ra source on some types of viscosity for aqueous solution of albumin at room temperature

Some types of viscosity for albumin aqueous solution with different concentrations were determined for two kinds of samples, first non-radiated the second, irradiated with 226 88 Ra source for a rate of 19.98X l0 4 (Rad/min) for 50 minutes. The results show that the values of densit-y, shear, relative, specific reduced viscosity were increased with increasing the concentration of albumin in distilled water. Also the properties which had been determined in this work, increased after radiation, this could be attributed to cross linking of albumin chains because of penetration B y -rays in the polymer structure exposed the amino acid to ionization radiation this may produced the dimer as a result of scission in C-H bond.
