Proposal to improve the performance of Bab-Al-Muadam garage

Bab-Al-Muadam is one of the oldest and well-known areas of the capital city (Baghdad), Bab-Al- Muadam garage is considered as one of the important garages that services many people. Many activity centers (colleges, government centers and one of the important hospitals) were located in this area so many people reached this area, in return the garage became the centre of many trips and the numbers of vehicles belong to it increased through years. Because of the large numbers of vehicles and the lack of good organization in the garage many drivers began to stop and pickup persons out of the garage itself and this would cause congestion problems due to interference between traffic flow and these vehicles flow, so the idea of this work was to remove some of the lines stopping out of the garage and locate them in a yard with a strategic location in order to get better services. An alternate design of the garage was prepared and an interview was made with the people who would affect with these changes ,most of the people would encourage the idea.
