The current investigation is interested by study the effect of some types of water (sea, river and rain) on the mechanical behavior for two polymeric materials (Epoxy resin (EP) and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) type U(Un plasticized PVC), the prepared specimens of two materials were tested under impact and bending loads at room temperature. The results showed that UPVC has the higher impact strength comparing with (EP) resin before and after the immersion into three types of water for 4 weeks. The bending test results showed that the maximum deflection exhibits for both materials at the first stage of immersion except (U-PVC) sample which immersed in rain water, the maximum deflection exhibits in it after 2 weeks of immersion. The Young s modulus values vary (increase and decrease) for both materials under work depending on the nature of water, immersion time, the penetration amount of it into the structure of material as well as the plasticization case which causes it.
