Synthesis of New Derivatives of 1,3,4-Thiadiazoles Containing Pyrimidino and Triazino Moieties

Cyclocondensation reactions of 2- amino-5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole (AMT) (1) and its derivatives with hydrazine hydrate, cinnamic acid, anthranilic acid, alanine, ammonium thiocynate, crotonic acid, and other organic reagents were carried out to give a new fused heterocyclic systems containing triazino, pyrimidino and imidazo moieties. Thiadiazole hydrazine compounds was utilized as precursor in different nucleophilic reactions and a good results were obtained. The thiadiazol derivatives were characterized by their melting points, elemental analysis, UV, IR, and 1HNMR spectra.
