Pragmatics and Discourse Analysis are so closely interrelated that they can be regarded as sister disciplines.This piece of research work attempts at investigating the relationship between them highlighting their similarities and detecting their differences through surveying the relevant literature about and conducting a comparison between them to arrive at conclusions grounded at the findings of that comparison.
