A Mixed Integer Linear Programming Model for Integrated Scheduling and Maintenance Problem

In this paper, we consider a flow shop scheduling problem with preventive maintenance activities for minimizing the makespan as an objective function. In such a problem, machines are not continuously available for processing jobs due to maintenance actions. A mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model is presented for this problem. The MILP model can be used to compute the optimal solution for the small-sized problems
