This paper studies the vibration characteristics of cracked
rotating uniform beam frequencies. The effects of crack
location, crack size, rotating speed and hub radius on
vibration characteristics of a cracked uniform beam are
investigated. Numerical results stimulated for different taper
ratios, non-dimensional angular velocities and nondimensional
hub radius. The effects of the non-dimensional
angular velocity and non-dimensional hub radius are
discussed. The accuracy is assured from the convergence of
the natural frequencies and from the comparisons made with
the studies in the open literature. It is shown that the natural
frequencies of a cracked rotating uniform Bernoulli–Euler
beam can be obtained with high accuracy by Differential
transform method (DTM).
