Multicultural Education: A new framework for internationalization of higher education

Internationalization as an undeniable phenomenon has been intensified from many yearsago and its speed in today’s world is swifter. On the other hand, multicultural education as a new approach tries to prepare efficient students for a society which is in line with higher education aim. Multicultural countries which face diversity in language and culture can use this approach for internationalizing their higher education systems. This study as an argumentative one tries to investigate various approaches which have been introduced for internationalizing of higher education and specifically principles of multicultural education. It was concluded that multicultural education is an effective approach to preserve local and national cultures that encounter with negative effects of globalization, so it would be a suitable approach to internationalization of higher education and also to be intercultural matured
