Role Of Social Support For Wushu Athletes In The Process Of Acquisition Of Mastery In Provincial And National Levels

This research aimed to study the role of family support as well as support from trainers and friends to reach Wushu athletes mastery in provincial and national levels. 50 Wushu talent athletes in provincial and national levels were selected among available athletes. The evolutionary history of Hope Wood athletes questionnaire employed in this study. The findings showed that there was not a significant difference between provincial and national medalists regarding level of support from parents, sister, brother and trainer. The only difference was found in the level of support by friends. In other words, the level of support from friends among national medalists was significantly higher than provincial medalists.
