A Review on IaaS and MAP-REDUCE SaaS Simulators in Cloud Computing

Big Data describes emerging generation of architecture and technologies designed to extract value from large volumes of a wide variety of data. Cloud computing has an essential role in providing scalable and flexible infrastructure as a service for big data. MapReduce is a distributed computation model to process big Data. It enables software to process and analyze big data in reasonable fashion. Due to rapid development of and emerging new cloud applications systems and services on big data, analyzing and evaluating of these systems’ performance could be of critical importance. Implementation of real world infrastructures for testing these systems imposes costs and problems. In big data era, simulation technology has become a useful tool. In this paper, cloud computing simulation tools will be investigated as big data infrastructure-as-a-service simulation tools and MapReduce simulators will be reviewed as big data software-as-a-service simulators, as well.
