We supported vitamin B1 (VB1) on the magnetic surface to provide a hybrid organic-inorganic biocatalyst. This catalyst was evaluated in the synthesis of substituted pyrroles using condensation of 1, 4-diketone and primary amines and desired products were achieved in high yields. γ-Fe2O3@SiO2@VB1 showed a typical superparamagnetic behavior so we could separate this catalyst from the reaction vessel by external magnet. This biocompatible catalyst could be recovered 5 times without the significant loss of its activity. The amount of loaded vitamin B1 on the surface was 0.02 mmol per gram of support. Cheap and minimal toxicity were reasons to use from VB1 as a reusable organocatalyst.
