This study deals with the glucose electro-oxidation for the application in blood glucose sensors and direct glucose fuel cell (DGFC). For this purpose, first nickel and copper nanoparticles were deposited on glassy carbon electrode by using electroplating method. The catalytic properties of the electrode for glucose electro-oxidation was studied by cyclic voltammetry. The results showed high catalytic activity of the Ni-Cu-NPs / GCE. This novel senor can be used repeatedly and exhibits stable electrocatalytic activity for glucose oxidation.
