Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles synthesized as quasi-spherical particles by co-precipitation method and were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), X–ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FT–IR) spectroscopy. The nano-Fe3O4 catalyzed oxidation of o-phenylenediamine to 2,3-diaminophenazine in the presence of H2O2 in aqueous solution. The initial rate of reaction is dependent on the concentration of o-phenylenediamine as well as the Fe3O4 nanocatalyst loading. The data were fitted to the Michaelis–Menten model and the parameters Km, Vmax and kcat were obtained.
