In the recent years, fractional partial differential equations (PDEs) are turned into one of the most powerful tools for digital image denoising. Recently, a fractional diffusion-wave equation with a non-local regularization term has been proposed by Zhang et al. which is undoubtedly one of the most successful PDE-based approaches for reducing noises from digital images. In order to obtain more satisfactory results, we aim to apply a high order schema for the numerical solution of a system of Volterra integral equation of the second kind obtained by transforming the proposed fractional PDE
