Poor performance of the central schemes for an atmospheric science problem.

In this talk, I will introduce and apply the central scheme which is an efficient finite volume method to approximate the solution of shallow-water equations representing the dynamics of interactions between equatorial waves and a background wind. It is shown that using this method negligently may cause inaccurate solutions and to address this issue, a practical solution is proposed.
