An approach for numerical solution of nonlinear Volterra integro-differential equation of fractional order via Legendre wavelets

This paper presents a computational method for solving nonlinear fractional Volterra integro-differential equation (NFVIDE) using Legendre wavelets. First, we convert the NFVIDE into a system of nonlinear algebraic equations using Legendre wavelets operational matrix. Then, by solving this system, we obtain the approximate solution of the main problem. In addition, we solve an example by the proposed method and the Haar wavelets method. Also, approximate solutions are compared with the exact solution.
