Two component reaction of 1-(α-aminobenzyl)-2-naphthol with trimethyl orthobenzoate in solvent-free conditions produced 1H-naphtho[1, 2-e][1,3]oxazines without formation of any by-product. When a three-component reaction was performed between 1-(α-aminobenzyl)-2-naphthol, dimedone and an aldehyde for the synthesis of 1, 8-dioxo-decahydroacridine dissociation was occurred instead of cyclization.
