In this research sulfonic acid-functionalized graphene oxide as an effective solid acid catalyst used for promotion of the synthesis of pyrano [3,2-c]chromene-3-carbonitrile (PCC) derivatives via one-pot three-component condensation through a domino Knoevenagel/Michael/cyclization sequence. Th e attractive features of this process are simple procedures, short reaction times, high yields, no column chromatographic separation, commercial availability of the starting materials and recyclability of the catalyst
