Electrodeposition of Pt-Ni nanoparticles on graphene as an improve catalyst for methanol electro-oxidation

This study deals with the methanol electro-oxidation for the application in direct methanol fuel cells. For this purpose, first Pt-Ni nanoparticles were electro deposited on graphene by using electroplating with cyclic voltammetry. The resulting of methanol oxidation were studied using by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and chronoamperometry (CA) method. This novel catalyst can be used repeatedly and exhibits stable electrocatalytic activity for methanol oxidation.
