Translation of Bahraini Uprising in English and Persian News Media From An Ideological Perspective

Ideology is an invisible force which shapes the mind of society; therefore, it has an important role in decision making process of the people in the society. Power institutions namely-- News Agencies Political Parties, and even the translators- try to control the decision making part of the society. This study is intended to discuss the role of news media in delivering the news concerning Bahrain. Within the study, the researchers compare the English news texts with their related Persian translations in order to uncover the role of ideology in the translation process.
