Using optimization algorithm in order to decrease induction motor losses

Industrial factories are the main users of induction motors, and these kinds of motors devote most energy used in an industry to them. So, a little decrease in these motors losses can play an important role in vital energy saving. The main goal which has been followed in this paper is decreasing a typical induction motor losses by controlling the d-axis current in different torque loads. We have formulated loss decreasing problem as an optimization problem and solved using Jaya algorithm (JA). Results show that the proposed method is very robust and effective.
