A Model for Reliability Optimization of Series System

A system is usually compounded by some components, elements, or sub-systems. Besides the reliability of every component, the layout and relationship between these components effect on the system reliability. Some systems are joining together rather more complex which are called mixed systems. Parallel systems have higher reliability compare to the series ones. Using parallel components (units) would increase the system reliability. We studied a production line in a refrigerator manufacturer as a series system in this research and tried to optimize the reliability.
