ZVZCS Cascade Boost Converter With Lossless Auxiliary Circuit

This paper presents a new soft – switched PWM boost converter with lossless auxiliary circuit. In the proposed converter an auxiliary circuit is applied to a cascade boost converter for providing soft switching condition for all semiconductor devices. In this converter switches turn on under ZCS condition and turn off ZVS condition without any extra switches. Therefore efficiency of proposed converter is increased. To verify the theoretical analysis, experimental results and provide ZVZCS conditions, a 300w prototype of the proposed converter is presented.
