Conditions and criterion for the scientific exegesis of the Qur’an

Abstract The Qur’an is an eternal miracle; which gives solutions to people’s life and provide them a way to move on in any situation. With the march of time and advancement of sciences, it is necessary to find a way to understand the Qur’an from that perspective. Therefore, the Qur’an must evaluate things as per time and space. This needs a defined and well planned study of the Qur’an and its interpretation that should give a sound and healthy environment to understand the Qur’anic verses in ‘modern time framework’. In this paper, an attempt has been made to present that viewpoint along with a critical analysis of those views that deny scientific exegesis of the Qur’an. This paper will pave a way for interdisciplinary scientific exegesis based on a defined standard and criterion of the Scientific exegesis in a more professional and academic manner.
