Present study deals with the adsorption of manganese ions from aqueous solution on
polyaniline/HPC nanocomposite. Batch studies were performed to evaluate the influence of
various experimental parameters adsorbent dosage. Optimum conditions for manganese removal
were found to be adsorbent dosage of 10 g/L. The equilibrium adsorption isotherm was better
described by Langmuir adsorption isotherm model. The adsorption capacity (qmax) of polyaniline
nanocomposite for manganese ions in terms of monolayer adsorption was 95.51 mg/g.
