    Electrocatalytic activity of Pd-Pt and Pd-Au alloy nanocatalysts for EG oxidation in alkaline medium

    In the present study, Pd-Pt and Pd-Au alloy nanocatalysts were synthesized by using electrochemical reduction method and used for EG electrooxidation by using different electrochemical techniques such as: Cyclic voltammetry (CV), chronopotentiometry (CP) and chronoamperometry (CA). The results were compared with those obtained on Pd nanocatalyst. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were also employed to physicochemical survey of the electrocatalysts. This study showed that Pd based alloy catalysts compared with Pd catalyst have higher catalytic activity for EG electrooxidation.
