Inequalities related to the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality in reliability and characterization of some discrete distributions

In this paper, we first obtain an upper bound for the variance of a function of discrete reversed residual lifetime. We also study inequalities involving moments of selected functions via , reversed hazard rate and reversed mean residual lifetime and characterize some discrete distributions by Cauchy-Schwarz inequality.
