Dark soliton and periodic wave solitons of Regularized long-wave equation

In this paper, we employ a sub-equation method to find the exact solutions of the regularized long-wave equation which arises in several physical applications including ion sound waves in plasma. The method presented is more effective, powerful and straightforward and can be used for many other nonlinear partial differential equations.
