Uv-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy: A simple method to study modified microporous and mesoporous materials

In this contribution, Uv-vis spectroscopic approaches to reveal some structurally-related properties of certain modified microporous amd mesoporous materials are outlined. Spectral descriptions are focused on our diffuse reflectance data obtained by our research group in recent years. Differentiation of Framework and extra-framework aluminum in several mecroporous and MCM-41 materials, position of nickel cations in some zeolites and aluminophosphates and adsorptive properties of dye-containing microporous and mesoporous materials are pointed out.
