A novel MCM-41 supported by metal complexes such a cobalt and Mangenes for oxidation of organic compound

The modification of the internal pore surface of mesoporous MCM-41 with 3-aminopropyl yielded amine group functionalized MCM-41. Cobalt (II) and Mangenes (II) acetylacetonate were grafied onto the functional MCM-41 via coordination of the nitrogen donor legend.The metal ion complex functionalized mesoporous materials were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), IR and GC-mass methods. This work reports the results of 2-Brombenzylalcohol and similar compounds oxidation in the liquid phase, over Cobalt acetylacetonate anchored onto MCM-41.
