    In this paper the thermal analysis of fire doors for naval application is investigated. To evaluating their behavior, fire doors are subjected to standard fire tests by means of a customized furnace, where the temperature changes according the current regulations. A finite element model is developed with the aim of capturing the behavior of the fire door and then results obtained from non-linear transient and static analysis are compared. Also, to further validate the accuracy, the proposed model is compared with experimental results obtained during standard fire tests. Images obtained by thermo-graphic camera and outputs from thermocouples confirm that the adopted analysis is good enough to properly describe the thermal behavior of the door.
