Projection points with the same Returns to Scale category

In this paper, we characterize a subset of the Production Possibility Set (PPS) with the points having the better performance than the unit under consideration with the property that they all also belong to the same Returns to Scale (RTS) category as the unit under consideration. We follow the results provided by Nasrabadi et al. in defining the mathematical formulation of a subset of the PPS with the projection points lying on the supporting hyperplane passing through the radial projection point. We use mathematical programming techniques to find the mathematical formulation of this region. The results reported here are just mathematical results, but they can be applied in various DEA applications like target setting and resource allocation.
