Cost performance analysis of sustainable supply chains

The present paper proposes an approach based on data envelopment analysis (DEA) to assess the cost performance of sustainable supply chains considering economic, environmental, and social aspects. To illustrate, a DEA model is introduced to estimate the cost performance of sustainable supply chains with two components, supplier and buyer. The overall cost performance of the sustainable supply chain and the cost performance of each component are measured. Furthermore, the cost performance of sustainability dimensions of supply chains is determined. The suggested model is extended for situations that undesirable outputs are present in sustainable supply chains.
