    Catechol (1, 2-dihydroxybenzene, CT) and resorcinol (1,3-dihydroxybenzene, RS) are isomers of dihydroxybenzene, which usually coexist in biological and environmental samples [1]. They are produced during biological degradation processes, and are commonly found in a wide variety of industries such as the cosmetic, plastic, dye, and pharmaceutical ones [2]. These environmentalpollutantsare toxic to the humans, and are difficult to degrade in ecological environments [2]. Therefore,the development of reliable andreadily accessible procedures for the simultaneous determination of their concentration is an interesting and demanding subject in environmental analysis [3]. Two novel spectrophotometric methods were successfully developed and validated for the determinationof catechol and resorcinol in their binary mixtures. Those methods arewell established methods namely ratio difference (RD) [4]and constant center (CC) [5] methods.Accuracy, precision and linearity ranges of the proposed methodswere determined and the specificity was assessed by analyzing synthetic mixtures of both Materials.
