Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) films were prepared from CMC solutions containing multi-walledcarbon nanotubes (MWCNT) as a nanofiller, and glycerol as plasticizer. Incorporation of MWCNTcaused increase in tensile strength, decrease in elongation at break and increase in young’s modulus ofthe films. CMC/MWCNT films showed significant antibacterial activities against both Gram-positiveand Gram negative bacteria in a dose dependent manner.
