A Survey on the Minerals Deposits in the Young Alkaline Volcanic Rocks of the Northeast of Nehbandan

There are Plio-Quaternary volcanic body crop out in the northeast of Nehbandan and in the northern part of Sistan suture zone which combine of trachy andesite, andesite basalt, basalt and olivin basalt. Main textures of these rocks are microlitic porphyry to trachytic and vesicular. Clinopyroxene, amphibole and olivine are the main phenocrysts. propylitic alteration is common in these rocks. These volcanic rocks are located along Eastern Neh fault. There is a mineral spring in the northeast of the study area. The presence of evidances such as vesicular texture, propylitic alteration, locating along eastern Neh fault and mineral spring in the northeast of this area show the high probability of Epithermal deposit in this place
