One of the biggest families that play a role in growth and development is AP2/ERF. It also plays a role in hormone
responses and biotic/abiotic stress responses in plants.HORVU6Hr1G075640 encodes AP2/ERF domain-containing
protein in barley. However, information on HORVU6Hr1G075640 remains lacking.Genomic data analysis can lead
to deeper knowledge of the functional role of a gene. So, in this study, promoter motifs were surveyed via motifbased
sequence analysis tools such as MEME (http://meme-suite.org/tools/meme), GOMO (http://memesuite.
org/tools/gomo), FIMO (http://meme-suite.org/tools/fimo). The results of this study indicate 38 significant
motif sequences with lengths ranging from 8 to 50bp in the promoter regions.Motif 4, motif 16, 19, and 10 have the
most occurrences. Moreover, the majority of motifs have a relationship with AP2EREBP family, 21.05%.Motifs
were related to biological processes such as regulation of transcription, transmembrane receptor protein tyrosine
kinase signaling pathway, and translation. With regard to the promoter analysis applied in this study, it can be
interpreted that HORVU6Hr1G075640 might be closely related with abiotic stress and have potential functions in
the abiotic stress tolerance. The results from this study will serve as a basis for the functional analyses of
HORVU6Hr1G075640 in barley.
