    In this study, the flow pattern of two immiscible fluids was investigated in a parallelized microfluidic device. Experiments were performed using dyed deionized water as the aqueous phase and 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (EMIMIm) as the organic phase. The volumetric flow rate of aqueous phase (Qaq.) varied between 10-90 μL/min and that of the organic phase (Qorg.) varied between 1-5 μL/min. A uniform flow distribution of two phases was obtained in the numbered-up microfluidic device. A flow pattern map was produced as a function of flow rate of two immiscible phases, as well. On-chip phase separation of liquid-liquid two phase flow was also developed in the parallelized microfluidic device.
